Next Shopshire Tweetup

Okay, cut a long story short we were going to do a poll to decide where the next meet up should be – most of us had already agreed that it should be in Telford this time however we couldn’t decide on a venue – but it isn’t working so we’ve decided it will be Bada-Bing bar at the Telford Shopping Centre, right next to House of Fraser.

It’s a nice bar that does good food and most importantly (to those borderline alcoholics) cocktails and one wonderful Shropshire Tweeter knows the owners, so they should be happy to have us.

What we can’t decide is what date, We’re looking at a Saturday afternoon in the July, we’d like your thoughts please.

  1. My vote goes for the Afternoon of the 4th July, just can’t do the 25th.

18th…18th…18th…please. First w/e is Shift Time Festival in Shrewsbury which quite a few of us are busy with (some of us all w/e). Next w/e still Shift Time (plus other stuff). Third w/e infinitely better.

  7. gekkko says:

    Did I say the 18th :D ????

  8. @ladyofsalzburg says:

If you want weekends in July, the only one I’m free for is the first weekend, however August is looking better and the first weekend of August is near my birthday.

  9. Having thought about it the last weekend would be out for me as it will be close to my birthday. I will either otherwise engaged or I will have fled the country and gone into hiding ;-)

  10. Colin Rees (Col_RFTL) says:

I’ll make sure i’m free for any of the dates as I wasn’t at the last one … think i’d rather have it at the start of the month but i’m happy with whatever everyone else wants :)

  11. Sazchik says:

4th for me is doable (but I wont be there till the evening – got kids party till 5pm) 11th totally out (daughters ballet show – if a parent misses a child’s ballet recital it I think social services turn up or something) So 18th is best for me!

  12. Sazchik says:

Also just found out Badabings dont have draft beer and bottles are 2.70 (you might want to save up a bit!)

  13. @bigdaddymerk says:

ha, boo to not having draft beer but I can live with £2.70 a bottle – the theatre was £3.50 a pint.

Plus, I’ll be on the pimms/cocktails/driptrays.

  14. dinnerlady teresamichalek says:

18 is my pp birthday will do both.

  15. sazchik says:

OK I cant do 4th now and it appears most folk prefer the 18th. I would like to vote for the 18th as the official date(and if anyone wants to go along on the 4th they can too). It is also @thedinnerladys daughters birthday on the 18th and she would love to meet us all so @thedinnerlady is going to bring her along as a treat. :-)

I’m moving to Telford in the next few months so it’d be awesome to get to know the twitter community in Telford.

I’m quite involved in Birmingham and am keen to see what’s going on.

  18. Will now be going to Evesham on the 4th

  19. Looks like it’s going to be the 18th then?

  20. gekkko says:

Surely there’s a pub in the vicinity that serves decent draught ale :) ?? Expect the CAMRA book’s in the absent car…

  21. yep 18th is fav by look of it – need to get pimping this now
